AITA for telling my wife to either take my money or she can leave?

So I was married to a woman name Candice for 8 years and we had a 3 year old daughter named Kaitlyn. She was my world and I would do anything for those 2. Candice worked at a amusement park as a manager and was able to make pretty good money and I was a police officer so we did well. <br><br>However Candice wanted more and I was only making 60k a year and she wanted more and I tried to better myself by getting a new job with the county sheriffs office for more money but that wasn't enough. She wanted to make as much as possible and she left the amusement park and got a job at a finance firm and was able to make way more. But then she complained that I was making way less and she was making way more and that she wanted me to make as much. <br><br>I was confused because she was making what she wanted and I didn't care that I was making a little because we were able to live good and I got to spend time with Kaitlyn. But she said I was worthless, I was nothing and I made barely any money. <br><br>One night she came home and was angry that I didn't make more that month? I have no idea why she was so angry with me and how I didn't make enough when she was making double what I was. She just blew up at me and said you don't make enough and I'm making way too much to support you and Kaitlyn and that I needed to do better. I was crying at this point and I just broke and I told her she can either take the check I wrote her and leave or she could get over herself and realize I'm doing my best and to be happy. <br><br>She got angry and said I was paying her to be with me? And I'm a piece of shit for doing that. I told her no I'm the provider of the house and I give her my money every month for her to pay the bills and feed Kaitlyn. I pay for everything in the house and she has her own money for her to do whatever she wants and I always give her 3k a month on top of my check to use on herself. But she said I was horrible and I was making her feel like a whore and a gold digger and she took the check and left. <br><br>AITA?
