ELI5: Why are all fast food restaurants, gas stations, and other businesses closed now? Why do they need to shut their lobbies down?

I saw a McDonalds where you can get food only through the drive thru window, i have to pay with card not cash to get in gas stations, and i saw a subway where the lobby is closed and they give you your food through a little window like a McDonald's drive thru.
