My brother’s friend made $50,000 in a year by not going out to eat. I’ll never understand it.

I don’t understand this mindset.

My brother’s friend is in his 20s, makes around $40,000 a year, and he managed to save $50,000 in one year just by not eating out at restaurants, he said.

Like, how are you just saving $50,000 in a year and still managing to cover all your bills? How does that even work?

And isn’t it unhealthy to stay inside all day?

I have a friend who always stays at home and never goes out to the bar or to go hang out. He always says that staying home and cooking and watching Netflix is so much cheaper. I don’t understand the point of that. If you have money, why wouldn’t you want to go out and live? Like, if you have money, wouldn’t you want to go out to dinner or a bar or hang out with your friends just to have good times and make memories?

I can’t imagine living like that. I’d rather invest money in good restaurants or drinks or good times than stay home and cook.
