Why on earth would you give up your apple stock?

If you invested in apple stock back in 2008-14, there were times you would have made 7-8 times your investment. This would even come out to be millions if you invested 10-20k. Why on earth would you sell all your shares and give up your millions? This just doesn't make sense to me.
