I posted yesterday that I think my brother owes me $20,000 and I asked Chambers what I should do about it. Well, I went over and talked to him about it yesterday. This post is shorter than the first one--mostly because I'm just so happy this whole thing is over.

So here's what happened: I went over to his house and we sat down to talk. I told him that I needed to talk to him about something and it was very important. I told him that my mom had tried for years to get our money back but she never could, and she gave up. I said that I wanted my money back, and I think he owes me $20,000. And I ended by saying that he had to give me my money back or get a lawyer, because I was not going away.

He said that he didn't know my mom had asked for it back. I told him that he knew damn well she had, and had tried for two years to get it back. I said I didn't want a fight, I just wanted my money back. He said that it was a long time ago now and that he thought it was gone. Again, I said I didn't want a fight, I just wanted my money back.

So he said he'd write me a check. I said only if it was for $20,000, otherwise it wasn't enough. He said that was fine and he wrote me a check. I took it to the bank this morning and it was good!

So I'm just so glad this is all over. I was dreading this conversation for so long, and I'm just glad it happened and it was easy and I got my money back. 2 years ago I was writing my will, and now today I feel like I could live another 50 years if I wanted to.

Thanks so much to everyone who commented on my other post and told me to do it. You were all right, and I'm glad I did. Thanks also for the awards, I don't know how many of you saw this update but I appreciate it.

I took $10,000 of the $20,000 and I put in a high-yield savings account (I get 4% interest, so I'll get $400 per year from it).

Then with the other $10,000, I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy Bitcoin. (I don't care what you think about Bitcoin, I love it, this is my money and I can do what I want with it.)
