What are some common items that merchandise gets stored in?

I've heard that some stores tend to store alcohol in big plastic fake rocks outside and at the roof of the building, along with the obvious things like POSIE merchandise and other things in the stockroom. I've also heard that some places store drinks and snacks in the celing and also like security cones or buckets or something. Shopping carts are also used for storage. What other things are used as storage and which stores use them? (Not asking for the items that are stored, just the thing that the items are stored in)
