Let's assume the two state solution is dead in the water, Israel isn't going to allow equal rights for Palestinians, and the international community isn't going to force them to. What would be the next step for the Middle East in this scenario?

On the one hand, it seems like Israel has the support of most Middle Eastern countries now. Palestine used to be able to rely on the support of several countries, but now that seems to be mostly Egypt and Iraq. However, it seems unlikely that Palestine will ever actually become irrelevant.

On the other hand, Palestine still has a ton of international support, particularly from people in the US and Europe. Therefore, it seems unlikely that Israel will ever actually become irrelevant.

In the past, it seems like other than the Gulf states, the Middle East mostly had a stance of "we don't like Israel, but we don't like Palestine either and view them as backwards."

Do you think anything will change as a result of no two state solution?
