The Duolingo chamber is very toxic, offensive, and hostile towards certain languages.

People on the Duolingo chamber act like a school of bigoted sharks. I was reading through a thread and people were openly saying they hate, all Germanic languages or all Slavic languages, or all Romance languages, or all European languages. They say they are ruined by slavery, racism, sexism, and all the problems that happened in Europe. They say that American English is tainted by the dark history of America so they hate it too. I have seen the people saying this talk up Asian languages, African languages, and Polynesian languages. <br><br>They say that these languages are more pure and have been isolated from the problematic parts of European languages. They say that European languages are tainted by horrible history and colonialism. They say that European countries are sexist and racist and that the languages are also tainted by those things. They even say that European people's accents are ugly and that they are very unattractive or hideous. <br><br>Even in Duolingo’s official Facebook groups, people are openly saying they hate certain languages. I have seen people in Duolingo groups say that Germanic languages have a very offensive and racist or sexist meaning. I have seen others say that Slavic languages have racist or sexist meanings as well. They say that European languages are stupid and bigoted and have no new ideas and all the words have been stolen from other cultures.<br><br>I don’t understand why they spend so much time saying how much they hate certain languages. They say they hate European culture and that the music and movies and food and clothes and culture are tainted by slavery, racism, sexism, and other things. They say that European clothes are ugly, the music is bad, the food is disgusting, and the culture is stupid.<br><br>They say that the way European languages sound is offensive. They say that European people are offensive and ugly. They say that European history is horrible and they are glad that there was a plague in Europe and that they are glad that European countries lost wars. They say they are glad that European countries went into depression. They say they are glad that there were genocides. They say they are not sorry for offensive wars like slavery or the holocaust.<br><br>I don’t understand why Duolingo hasn’t removed these offensive and bigoted accounts. I have reported the offensive and bigated comments and nothing has happened.<br>I am so confused. I thought that this was a language learning app and I could learn the history of all the different cultures, but instead, this is just an app for people to be offensive and bigoted towards certain cultures and languages. They say that they want to see European countries burn and be destroyed and that all the European people should die.<br><br>I don’t understand why Duolingo lets them be so openly bigited and offensive.
