I can't believe I'm finally fluent in my target language.

My journey is finally over. I've been learning Portuguese for about 3 years now, and it feels like a big part of my life has just "ended".

I started learning it because I used to date a Brazilian. That relationship didn't last but my interest in Portuguese did. I ended up completing a degree in Portuguese at University, getting a scholarship to study in Portugal, meeting new Brazilian friends, getting another Brazilian boyfriend, and now, I'm as fluent as I can be in my target language. It's truly amazing to think about how much my life has changed since then.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do now. I still have a lot to learn, and I will keep learning, but I think I need to find another challenge for myself. I'm really thinking abut learning Japanese.

I just wanted to tell you all that success does exist, and it's real, so I hope this post motivates you to keep learning your target language. It's not over until you get there.
