I’m struggling to understand why teachers are leaving.

I’ve been teaching for 32 years. NBCT at the middle school level. I’m a subject matter expert at multiple institutions that matter. I’m a “national” expert in my subject area (My friends and family have told me to drop calling myself “national” because of how pompous it sounds. I’m trying.) <br><br>My salary has kept up with inflation basically. <br><br>I coach a couple of activities. I make more than my spouse. <br><br>I’m tired as hell but I think I’m a good teacher and I love my kids. <br><br>I’m wondering why everyone wants to leave. Is it all about money?
