What are the most popular language learning apps and what are the differences?

It seems like every few days there is a new thread asking what the best language learning app is and it usually turns into a popularity competition between duolingo and babbel. So I decided I would do a bit of research. <br><br>I am not a professional and have only used some of these apps personally.
