Everything wrong with modern firearms, as a former gun armorer

So I'm a former armorer and I've worked on a lot of guns. I'd like to summarize some of my observations on certain manufacturers and platforms.

**Glock**: Glocks have too many machining operations and too many parts. Their tolerances are loose. There's too much slop in the system and you have to stake the plastic frame to get it to function properly. They're tools of war and I find them to be aesthetically displeasing. I think they're okay at best.

**Ruger Mark IV**: The Mark IV is a terrible pistol. It's just as reliable and durable as a Mark II, but it has a safety and an under rail that adds weight. I think a Mark II is the better option.

**Mossberg MC1SC**: It's a disaster under the hood. The fact that they managed to reinvent the wheel and make it worse is impressive, but not in a good way. I can't recommend these as carry guns. They're sort of like a modern S&W Sigma, which is not good. It's a Cartridge-activated, striker-fired gun with some weird parts.

**Walther CCP**: The CCP is a decent pistol, but the firing pin block requires a lot of force to reset, and it's sort of a pain to do.

**FN SLP**: The SLP is a terrible shotgun I worked on. The gas system is really finicky, and requires me to check that the gas piston is seated properly, and to not get any grime under the gun. It's not the best option if you're planning to use it a lot.

**Caracal Enhanced F**: It has a trigger pull weight that's heavier than a Glock, which is a con, but it does feel a bit better. It also shoots a bit lower than a Glock, but that's because of the ergonomic grip. The grip feels better than a Glock, but it's still plastic and slippery, and it doesn't quite feel like a real gun. I also don't think it shoots as well as a Glock. I don't think it's the best option, but it's maybe a bit better than a Glock.

**Walther PDP**: The PDP has a lot of slop in the action, and the action itself is a bit finicky. I think it's a good gun, but I'm not sure how well it would hold up after a lot of rounds, and it's still a striker-fired gun.

**CZ 075/ Omega**: The 075/ Omega doesn't have a lot of slop, and it's very reliable and durable. It also has DA/SA trigger. I think it's a great choice for a carry gun.

**S&W M&P**: The S&W M&P has less slop than a Glock, and I think it's still a reliable and durable pistol. I think it shoots a bit better than a Glock, but it's still a plastic gun. I think it's a good option for a carry gun, but I prefer a DA/SA gun.

**Kimber 1911s**: The Kimber 1911s have a bad reputation, but I don't think they're all bad. I think they work well, and they're a great option if you want a 1911 but don't want a Springfield, or if you want a carry gun but don't want a Glock or M&P.

**DPMS GII Hunter**: The Hunter is a great rifle. It's durable, reliable, and it works well. I think it's a great option if you're looking for an AR-10 but don't want to spend a fortune.

**FN FAL**: The FN FAL is a great weapon. I've shot a lot of rounds through it, and it's still running strong. I think it's a bit more reliable and durable than an M14, and it's a great option if you want to own a battle rifle but don't want to break the bank.

I know some of you are going to disagree with me, and that's okay. I encourage you to try some of these guns yourself, and form your own opinion. The most important thing is that you get a reliable and durable gun that you're comfortable shooting.
