Youtube (and the Internet as a whole) was much better when people were the content creators, not corporations

Back in the day you could go on YouTube and see real people doing the things they loved and making content for the sake of creating said content. Now it seems everyone is trying to be a "content creator" as a means to make a paycheck. It's rare to find someone who posts real content now. Now everything is either a 15 minute video where the guy talks about the same thing for 15 minutes (because he gets paid per minute watched) or it's some company trying to make a "viral" ad.

Now companies are also hiring people to make "virally" posted content on other social media sites just to try to get them a paycheck. It just seems like the internet is all about greed now.
