Google Bard is taking over search.

Imagine Google search results tailored specifically to you, with information from beyond your search terms, presented in a visually appealing yet starkly utilitarian manner. This is what Google Bard is doing right now. It's not always being used, but it's becoming more and more prevalent. It works by scraping the results of your search, then condensing the information into a list that would be easy to scrape. Meaning you don't have to go to the actual website, you just get the information you need straight away, maybe even in the "more info" box. It's almost useful enough to use, but not quite, and that's the worry for me.

I think it's ominous when the AI assistant can oversee the search results in the way that it can. I worry that it must be skewing the search results in some way. And I worry that it's maybe not showing me some things that I'd like to see.
