Why do men give their phone number in the club to women and then text them out of the blue after never responding to their texts?

This happened twice now. I gave my phone number to a girl and she texted me to no response. She texted again and I didn’t respond. I told her I was going to text her but no response. Then I texted her a day later with no response. And then I got a text a week later from her saying “hey I thought you wanted to text me this past week.” She said she was ghosted three times already and I was just another one to add to the list. Wtf? There are just too many stories of this kind of shit happening. I’ve been ghosted a few times in the past and I didn’t text the person I was trying to text back. I kept my feelings to myself.
