CMV: It's been pretty clear for a while now that Biden is going to win the election, so conservatives can finally stop gaslighting the rest of us and admit that they'll be voting for him.

I would also like to preface by saying that I am not a democrat, nor do I plan on voting for Joe Biden.

I've seen tons of posts from right-wing accounts of people saying they hate Biden and Trump, and that "they'll vote libertarian this time and maybe things will change". However, when you look at the comment history, it's filled with tons of comments supporting trump and attacking any dissentors. It's pretty clear to me that these people are just trying to create a false narrative for when the inevitable happens and Biden wins, and they can pretend that they didn't vote for Trump.

The same thing happened in 2016, and it seemed like almost every conservative I knew was saying things like "I've never liked Trump, and I don't like Hillary either. I think I'm going to vote libertarian this time." And then they all ended up voting for Trump. And when he won, they all came out and said things like "I told you so", and "it's time for the democrats to accept reality".

It's just really frustrating to see conservatives try to create and perpetuate a false narrative because they know that Trump doesn't have much support outside of his fanbase. It's even more frustrating when they talk as if their view is the majority view, even though polls have been showing for months now that Biden has a big lead.
