I am a Palestinian. I am not politically active. My generation has been whipped up and taught to hate Israel, and to hate the Jews. But I don’t. I never got it. For the last few days, I have been crying. Israel is our only hope for peace now, as we members of Fatah, Hamas, and even Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade begin to brag that we, as the Palestinian people, have officially become part of a terrorist nation. They claim that support for Israel is coming to an end. They claim that a third intifada is coming, and that this time, there will be another war with Israel, and we will win the war. We will destroy Israel. And then we will also destroy the U.S. And then we will finally have peace.

But after watching the horrible pictures of dead Palestinian children, I ask: where is Hamas? They are not even hiding anymore. Why are they hiding behind women and children, in maternity wards, in schools, in daycares, and hospitals? Why are they putting missiles there? Why do they want innocent children to die? And no one answers. They say it’s Israel’s fault. Who else could it be? But then I had to watch the footage of U.S. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib comparing Israel to the Nazis. And then I had to watch the footage of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar saying that Israel doesn’t have a right to exist. And then I had to watch the footage of Congresswoman AOC saying the same thing. Who do these people think they are? They say that Israel is committing genocide. Who is actually committing genocide? It’s Hamas, hiding behind children, and lighting them on fire. What’s Israel supposed to do? The world is literally demanding that Israel allow Hamas to put their missiles in schools, and for Israel to allow them to shoot those missiles. Why? Because Israel will look bad? Because Israel will look evil?

I am a Palestinian. I have reached the conclusion that I am not welcome as a “Palestinian” because I am not a terrorist. I have reached the conclusion that I am not welcome in the West because I support Israel’s right to exist. I have reached the conclusion that I am not welcomed in Jordan or Egypt or Lebanon, where there are other Palestinians, because Israel is the only one that has given us food, shelter, medicine, etc. I have reached the conclusion that I am not welcome anymore in my own country or anywhere else in the world. I have to change my name for my own protection.

I have reached the conclusion that Israel is the only source of hope for the Palestinians. Without Israel, there is no food, there is no shelter, there is no medicine, and there is no humanitarian aid. Israel is on the frontlines protecting us from the terrorists who want to kill us. It is Israel that is defending the freedom to speak out against Hamas. And it is Israel that is defending innocent children from being used as human shields. Israel is defending us from the terrorists. Israel is defending us from the extremists. Israel is our last hope for peace.

I am a Palestinian. I am a Zionist. I am pro-Israel. I am not sure how much longer I can live in a country run by Hamas, surrounded by terrorists. I want to live in Israel, where I can be free. Where I can be safe. Where I can eat. Where I can have shelter. Where I can take my medicine. Where I can have healthcare. I want to be protected by Israel’s military. I want to be protected from the terrorist people around me. I want to live in peace, and I want to live in prosperity. I want to be equal, and I want all Palestinians to be equal. I want the Palestinians in Gaza to be treated the same as the Palestinians in Israel. I want all Palestinians to have full rights. And I want Israel to continue to defend us. I want Israel to continue to protect us. I want Israel to continue to give us life. And I want Israel to continue to give us hope.

I am a Palestinian. I am a Zionist. I am pro-Israel. I love Israel. I love the Israeli people. I love the Jewish people. I love the Israeli military. And I love everyone who supports Israel. And I will continue to love Israel. Because Israel is the only hope for peace. Israel is the only hope for freedom. Israel is the only hope for life.
