What would lead a person to say, "I can't believe this person got away with my money."

This is an odd question. But I'm genuinely curious. According to the last survey, 49% of people in this sub have never been to college, and 27% of people in this sub have not graduated high school.<br><br>Certainly, no one is entitled to go to college or have a higher education. But I'm just genuinely curious to know what leads a person who has barely had their basic needs met to say, "I can't believe this person got away with my money." How do they think they contributed? What did they do? Where did they contribute?
