Why do so many people say "the system is rigged" and then get angry when I tell them they are just clueless and don't even understand basic notions like bias? Do people actually think that everyone around them, from public institutions to private corporations, are colluding together to do malicious acts when in fact that an enormous amount of the population has no better interests than to work their best for their well-being and the well-being of those around them? Do people actually think institutions act irrationally and don't follow the laws of economy and societal norms? Why is it so easy to think that just because you are right and your opinion is valid, the opposing side is inherently evil? I am frustrated by this, please change my view.

Edit: I understand that I wasn't clear enough. What I wanted to say and didn't was not that there is no corruption or that such things don't happen, but that in general the system is not rigged. I also understand that this title is very paradoxical and a priori contradictory, I am sorry for that.
