I was in my small independent used bookstore and I saw a lolita. It was a frustrating sight that was at once so pitiful and saddening that I nearly cried.

The pathetic creature was hunched over as it browsed through the romance novels, its pink hair standing out like a sore thumb from a crowd of humans. It was distasteful to see the thing trying to fit in by wearing cool cat ear headphones like they do in those obnoxious Japanese animes.

I decided to watch the lolita for a little while to get a sense of what this creature is like in the wild. It was just so \*sad\*. It moved slowly and awkwardly, as if it had never learned to walk. I can only assume that it was raised in a small enclosure by sick twisted people that derive pleasure from the suffering of their pets. I was so sad to see it like this.

I decided to approach the lolita to try and see if it could talk. I was not hopeful because I had heard that lolitas are incapable of intelligent thought. I began to speak to the lolita and to my surprise it could talk. It looked at me with its big eyes and told me that it was “looking for a book to get cozy with”.

I pitied the poor creature, so I offered to show it the self help section where it could learn to live a better life. It was not a happy thing and seemed frustrated. I tried to talk to it more, to explain to it why I was trying to help, but it was angry that I didn’t want to be its friend. A store employee had to escort me out of the store for harassing the creature.

I have never felt so sad in my life. I just wanted to help the sad creature, but it didn’t seem to want any help. I hope that one day the lolita can find peace.
