Is it the norm in your country to ask people if they have / want kids and do you get judged if you don’t have any?

I’m from the UK and within the first 5 minutes of meeting someone for the first time it’s usually a topic of conversation?

My mid-twenties and I’m getting annoyed with being asked and judged. I’m like why do you need to know? I’m protected and I just don’t want to have any children and that’s my choice.

Is this normal in your country?
