I've had this opinion for a while now and I'd love to hear what does everyone think of this.

Have you heard the phrase "broke people don't think like rich people". It's from a book called "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". I really recommend reading it.

I've come to the conclusion that most of us have been thought to be broke people. We go after jobs that only allow us to survive, not flourish. We aren't thought to take risks, we are told to go for the safe bet, and I think this will make us fail in the long run.

We should be teaching any single parent home kid that they don't have a safety net. If they fail, they are screwed. Their "backup plan" should be a loan they take and will have to repay regardless of if they succeed or not.

If you are an only child, you have no one to split your needs with. If you have only one parent, you only have one person to ask money from. It's pretty obvious to any single parent home kid that if they fail, they will starve to death. The safety net is the parents, and this net isn't there for single parent home kids, at least not if they don't have enough money to provide for themselves.

In other words, for kids that have two parents, they have different needs and have a bigger safety net.

Our parents love us, but they don't get it. They don't understand what it's like to not have a safety net. They were dropped into the real world at 18, we are dropped into the real world when we are born. We don't get a happy childhood, we don't have parents to teach us how to be successful, we don't have time to waste. In a world where we are now being humanities producers, we only have time to learn.

Our parents have a lot to show for it, and we have to work hard to get there. We can't work part time and have a job if we want to succeed. Not for the lack of trying. We can't complain, because we have been given an opportunity millions of people dream of. What we can do is learn. We have to learn how to be successful. We have to know how to be a boss, and how to work towards what we want. We need to learn how to be successful with little resources. This is the only direction our careers should take. It should be about being successful no matter what. Failing isn't a possibility, it's just a delay.

Because of this, we HAVE to take the road less traveled. Our parents can't help us, they aren't like us. They don't understand what it's like to have to work twice as hard to succeed. We'll never have time to waste. We'll always have to be working hard. We'll always have to learn. We'll always have to be successful.

It's impossible not to be successful if you're a single parent home kid. Not the lack of trying, not the lack of resources, not the lack of money. As long as we have the drive to be successful, we will have a road less traveled. We will work hard, and we will learn.

We should encourage single parent home kids to go for different careers based on their circumstances.
