I met the devil while hoping on a train to get home

This was definitely the strangest thing that ever happened to me. I was hanging out with a friend in a city that is about 3 hours away from home by car. We decided to catch a train to get home. I was in Germany at that time so it was pretty easy to get home. We were both about 18 when this happened and we didn't have a car at that time. I was from a very rural area and didn't even have a car until I was 23. We decided to take a detour to get home. We always took the route of our city and went to another station which was close to my house and would get us home faster. We were on the train from which we wanted to hop on the train to get to our city. We were sitting on a platform bench waiting for the train to arrive. There was another guy sitting on that bench. He looked pretty normal and I think he was sitting on the other end of the bench. <br><br>The train arrived and we hopped on. The other guy from the bench was on the same train as us. He was sitting in the row in front of us. I was sitting next to the window when he looked over his shoulder and asked us which station we were going to take. We told him and I noticed he was looking at us with an emotionless face. He didn't show a single emotion and he just stared at us for about 30 seconds. It felt very creepy and we thought he was acting strangely. We started to talk about him and if it was okay to sit next to "crazy guy". Then we decided to leave the train on the station we wanted to take. We got off and walked to the platform to catch our train. <br><br>We arrived at the platform and I wanted to throw away my water bottle. I wanted to throw it away in the trash can and when I did that the guy from the train was standing right next to me. I was looking in his direction and he was staring at me with the same emotionless face. I was a bit shocked and he said "it's always nice to have company. This station is usually not very crowded". I didn't answer and just went back to the platform bench. We were sitting there and then the train arrived. We hopped on and the "emotionless guy" was on the train too. This time he was even sitting next to us. He didn't talk to us and we ignored him. <br><br>We were talking to each other and he suddenly put his head between us and asked us what we were talking about. We stopped talking and we just looked at each other in confusion. Then he started to talk about topics that we weren't interested in. He was talking about the quality of different types of wood and for how long you would be able to burn it. Then he asked if we wanted to see a picture of his cat. It was a very normal looking cat with a very strange name. He said something like "my cat's name is Absalom". He showed us some more pictures and then he offered us some bread. He said something in the style of "this is from my garden and I made the bread myself". <br><br>We ate the bread and then we arrived at our station. We got out of the train and the guy followed us. He even followed us to our car and he went in another direction after we drove away. This was probably a very normal guy who just wanted some social interaction but for us it was a very strange and creepy encounter.
