My(35m) wife (33f) went on a trip with a former love interest and I'm fucking pissed.

I apologize for the length of this post ahead of time. <br><br>My wife left this weekend to go visit a long time friend of hers. Nothing weird at first glance. <br><br>Here's where it gets tricky. This friend used to be a romantic interest of hers that her parents didn't like. She went behind their backs to date him, and when they found out they did everything in their power to force them apart to the point she wasn't allowed to see him anymore. <br><br>Fast forward to when we met. She had a few relationships in between and I never had any inkling that she still had any communication with him. Well, she had him on Facebook and one day I was looking through her friends list and I saw his name. My alarm bells went off and I asked her about it. She seemed genuinely surprised that I was upset about it. She said she couldn't see herself being with him so what did it matter. <br><br>Well, he starts messaging her again after a few years of zero communication and it bothered me. She said nothing was going on but me bringing it up was causing unnecessary tension. (See how that works?) <br><br>She then proceeded to delete all of our text communications to (((not rouse any suspicion))) and she said she would allow me to follow the texts so I could see nothing was going on. <br><br>At the time it didn't dawn on me how big of a red flag that was. <br><br>So fast forward. She's been planning this trip to visit our new Blockbuster even friend for a few months. They've been talking about this trip for months and the only thing I knew about it was the dates and that she was going to another state. <br><br>I had asked about where they were going and to show me the itinerary and she said it wasn't a big deal at all he was just going to show her around and they were going to visit some mutual friends. <br><br>Well, I wanted to send her a little something as a surprise and I needed the address. She gave me the address and I looked it up to make sure I got the correct address. <br><br>There was no fucking house! I'm assuming it's just a Airbnb. Strange but not unheard of. <br><br>So I message the address to the delivery driver and he messages me back to say there was no house at that location. <br><br>She gets home and I ask her about it and she was evasive. I pushed and then she told me they were staying at the ex bf parents house. I asked why I wasn't allowed to know and she said it was no big deal. <br><br>Then she gets pissed at me for prying. <br><br>Am I overreacting? Should I confront her about it? She's been gone 24 hours at this point. <br><br>Also, I'm regretting not making her show me the texts between them. But at the time it didn't seem like a big deal. <br><br>Final note. I think I'm just bad at communicating in general so any help would be great.
