I (F/42) have a bottle of wine from my college roommates winery that I've been saving since 2002. It's my "bottle" to open when I turn 50.

My family came over last night to cook dinner. My cousin (22) came over with a bottle of cheap yellow wine with the words "buttery" on it and a bottle of grape juice. She's not much of a drinker but she is trying to be more social. After dinner we cracked hers open and had a couple of glasses.

My husband (46) went into the wine cellar and came back up with my "bottle". He said he wanted to break it open to "teach OP'sCousin how to properly drink". I said no. I told him that it was my bottle and no, I am not going to teach her how to drink with my college roommates wine from 2002. He got really pissed and said I was being selfish and rude. He went into the kitchen and opened my bottle and poured some into glasses. I yelled at him and asked what the hell he was doing. I took the bottle from him and put it back in the cellar. He said I was being immature and I need to get over myself.

So I did. I got over myself and said the night was over and everyone had to go home. My cousin left, my husband is in the doghouse. My sister called today and said that I overreacted and needed to let my cousin have some. My mom said I was an asshole and I wasted the wine sitting there. My aunt said that it's only a bottle of wine and it's not like I've had it forever.

So AITA for refusing to let my cousin have some of my wine? Or was my husband right?
