Why do people say ‘This’ when it’s clearly not ‘this’

Eg. <br><br>‘Look at the timestamp on this, it’s from 2015!’ This isn’t from 2015 it’s screenshot of a post from 2015.<br><br>‘Look at the capeshit in this’ this is just a screenshot of a comic book page, not an actual movie<br><br>‘This was always been the conclusion. Stop saying we didn’t see it’ when the show explicitly said the opposite multiple times and then one sentence at the end of the last episode said the opposite of that.
