Who else is tired of people saying “those who can’t do, teach”?

As a student teacher who is working in a classroom right now, I am so tired of people making this comment whenever they hear that I’m going to be a teacher. It is disrespectful to every single teacher in the world who works hard to educate the young minds of tomorrow. I am tired of this comment. <br>When I share that I want to be a teacher, I want people to be excited about it and say “that’s amazing! Teachers are the reason why we are where we are today.” Instead of saying “I could never do that. I don’t know how you do it.” <br>Teaching is hard work, and I am tired of people saying “those who can’t do, teach.” Because it’s not true. It takes someone very special to be a teacher, and I wish more people would see that and realize how important our jobs are. <br>Is anyone else tired of people saying this?
