Just be honest with them.

I've seen a few posts here from people who’ve been asked to provide feedback without the author wanting to hear any negative comments. I don't get that.<br><br>If you don't want honest feedback then you shouldn't be here. Your work is to be critiqued by everyone here. The best thing for an author is for them to be told the truth about how people perceive their work, even if that can be tough sometimes.<br><br>If you don’t want truth then you should be paying someone to help you, not asking for free critiques. Freelance writing critique services exist for a reason. If you don't want truth, then that's what you should choose.<br><br>If you’re asking people for free critiques then you should honour that by being prepared to receive fair and honest criticism, but some people just want their egos fed instead.
