I bought dinner from Tim Hortons while I was out for work and now I'm kind of embarrassed.

I'm familiar with Tim Hortons as they're down here in the US, but for those of you who don't know, Tim Hortons is a Canadian fast food chain.

I'm a claims adjuster and was assigned to this area. People were telling me to check out Tim Hortons but from my perspective, it's just a fast food chain that's also up here in the US. I looked it up to see if they had a customer loyalty app and found that I could get a chicken sandwich for a dollar if I ordered it through the app. I love a good chicken sandwich so I figured why not. I've never had Tim Hortons at all.

I ordered a chicken sandwich and a cookie and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I grabbed my food and went back to my car. The chicken sandwich was processed quickly. It was good, but not a good thing to eat all the time. It tasted like something you'd get from Wendy's but they kind of botched it with a little too much sauce and pickles. I'd get it again at that price.

I was curious about the cookie so I took a little nibble. It wasn't the best cookie I've ever had but I could absolutely finish it in a few bites. Each time I took a bite I found it was really good. It was one of the better cookies I've had recently and I could eat it in a few bites or slowly savor it.

Regardless, it's a good thing I don't get sent up there very often. I definitely think I gained a pound or two with that meal.
