Will having a kid save me money by reducing my desire to travel?

I know people have kids for a variety of reasons, but I'm wondering if having a kid will actually save me money. I haven't wanted kids for many reasons (now I do), but I'm actually wondering if having a kid will save me money.

Some background: My fiance and I travel a lot for artistic education. We are both professional performers (she is a classical singer, I am a harpsichordist) and we perform all over Europe and the world for a lot of different companies. To do this, we either have to drive/fly, rent cars, stay in hotels/airbnb, etc. and these trips can cost thousands of dollars. We both make good money, but the travel is expensive. Furthermore, we actually spend a lot of money on shoes and clothes and wigs and stuff for our performances.

In two years we are planning to stop this lifestyle of traveling all the time for performance in order to have kids. We really want to have kids and want to settle down. But I'm also wondering if having kids will save us money. From what I have heard, kids are expensive. However, we will be reducing our travel/performing expenses. Will this be offset by the expenses of kids? What are your thoughts?

DISCLAIMER: I am aware that kids are people and need love, support, and nourishment. I am not viewing this decision purely from a financial perspective. I truly want to have kids. I am only asking if this will be a financial boon or not.
