Why are we letting the USA price our labour?

Australia is over 300% more expensive than the USA yet we will gladly accept the same minimum wage because of the American billionaires who control Australian businesses. <br><br>Aussies are made to think our labour is worth nothing here. We have some of the highest paying jobs in the world and are one of the most expensive countries in the world.<br><br>Consequently, you have to work 3 times more hours as an Aussie to buy the same item as an American because we are so expensive and paid the same as an American. I’m being generous with this number, it’s probably more like 6 times more hours.<br><br>This is why everything is so expensive to us yet so cheap to Americans.<br><br>You go to a super market as an American and you pay $10 for something. As an Aussie you need to pay $35 for the same product. But the Aussie has to work more hours to pay that $35 than the American has to pay for the $10.<br><br>The idea of equal pay is a joke when you live in a country as expensive as Australia yet pay the same as someone in America.
