Please forgive my grammar.

I don’t want to brag about yields. I won’t brag about yields. I’m just going to go over how I breed Gonzalez Growing Gloriosas. I won’t talk about “how to start breeding cannabis” or other basic information. This is just my breeding process for my GG line.

**Genetics and Chemovar Diversity**

I always start with a variety of GG chemovars. Currently I’m using:

Gonzalez Gloriosas (GG)

GG f4 (some phenos more dominant to GG)

Gloriosas

GG and Gloriosas f1 (phenos that don’t lean more towards GG or Gloriosas)

I currently have 18 GG parent plants across multiple f generations. Each is maintained as a clone. One GG parent is kept in each greenhouse and rotated out every 30 days. I’ve kept track of each parent plant’s yields and potency and use the higher yielding parents for seed production.

**Curing and Seed Production**

I always use a combination of clones and seeds. I have multiple Gonzales Gloriosas f generations. I take 8oz of GG and cure it for 6 months. I’ll harvest the seeds, dry them for 6 months and have a seed stock to work with. I will plant, harvest, cure and dry seeds every 6 months. This ensures I have a seed stock and I’m not constantly starting seeds. I typically keep around 50 seeds of each parent plant of each f generation.

**Pheno Hunting**

I usually plant around 30-50 GG seeds at a time. I let the seedlings veg for 1-3 months and identify dominant, healthy, vigorous and resistant phenotypes. Then I begin pheno hunting. I won’t go too deep into the process as I’m sure most know the basics.

**Seed Production and Iso and Backcrossing**

Once I have a keeper, I’ll clone it and produce seeds. I clone the GG parent plant and the new f1 and cross them. I’ll produce seeds all year round. I take the highest yielding and potent keeper and clone it. I’ll leave it in the greenhouse and take clones from that one plant all year. That way, I’m only working with a single GG clone and I’m sure I have the same clone from seed to harvest. I backcross to the original GG parent plant as well as the highest yielding and potent GG f generations. I always backcross to the highest yielding GG f generation and the original GG parent plant. I’ve developed a GG f6 at this point and plan on staying within the f6 generation and constantly backcrossing to GG.

**Lineage and Family Structure**

I maintain a strict lineage and family structure. I have each GG f generation broken down by parent plant. I keep detailed records of each seed stock and clone. I have a record of every parent plant’s yields and potency.

** ALWAYS BACKCROSS**

I backcross to GG and the highest yielding f generation GG. I always use a single clone of GG in addition to a GG f generation clone. I will backcross to the original GG parent plant as well as the highest yielding and potent parent plant. I never pollinate a clone. Always maintain the same GG clone and always maintain the same GG f generation clone. Never pollinate clones to clones.

**ALWAYS KEEP A SEED STOCK**

Never rely on a single clone. Always have a seed stock. Never start seeds every harvest. Keep a seed stock and always maintain clones, seeds and seedlings.

**ALWAYS MAINTAIN A STRICT LINEAGE AND FAMILY STRUCTURE**

I keep records of each seed stock and clone. Where did it come from? What generation? What parent plants? What were the yields and potency?

**THE GOAL**

In a nutshell, my breeding process for Gonzalez Growing Gloriosas is to produce high yielding, potent seeds with a strong lineage and family structure. I work in a single GG f generation and backcross to the original GG parent plant as well as the highest yielding f generation parent plant. I always maintain multiple clones and seeds and never rely on a single clone. I maintain detailed records of each seed stock and clone.
