I'm still in shock. I can't tell you where I'm from yet, but this is a rural area that votes for Republicans and Conservatives in almost 70% of the cases. I'm a feminist, prochoice progressive and a witch, and I just won the elections against a Conservative antiabortion candidate with the support of the Democrats.

I'm overwhelmed by the amount of support I've been receiving, and I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that I am now part of the city council. I’ve been a part of the Women’s March and have been protesting the overturning of Roe v Wade, and now I’m about to take my first step into politics.

This is a massive responsibility and I know that I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I'm not alone. I have gotten so much love and support from my community, and I'm truly grateful and humbled by it. I'm also very proud of every single person who voted for me. You are my motivation and my reason to keep going.

I’m not a politician and I don’t really want to be one, but I want to do something for the women in my community, and I feel that being in the city council will give me a better voice and more power to do so. I’ve been criticized by anti abortionists, by misogynists and people who don’t like witches, but I’ve also gotten a lot of support from people who appreciate my strength and courage.

If you think that I should be ashamed of being a witch, that I should burn in hell or that I should kill myself, then you are part of the problem. Women should be free to live their lives however they want, and that is what I’m fighting for.

I’ve been a victim of sexual abuse and harassment, and I understand the pain of feeling like something that is yours has been taken away from you. That's why I will never stop fighting for women's rights. To all the women out there who have also been victims of sexual abuse and harassment, I hear you. I see you, I feel you, I believe you and I trust you. I believe in you and your strength to overcome. We’re in this together, and I know that together we can do something to change this world and make it a better place.

Please take care of yourselves and stay safe.

Hugs to everyone

EDIT: I feel overwhelmed by all the support I've been receiving, I've just created an account on Insta to better interact with you guys and answer some questions : @witchesarewinning
