I am a 20 year old college student studying psychology (I'm a sophomore). I am having trouble with history for a few reasons. First, I am a visual learner. I have a hard time learning from written words. Second, I have trouble remembering names and dates. Lastly, I have noticed that history teachers are really harsh and expect a lot of stuff. Like I have a history of religion class that I am doing horrible in. He is expecting us to remember the names of every single religion and they date it started and how it spread to other parts of the word. I can't remember all this stuff. I'm just not good with history. The best way for me to learn is having things visual. I am considering adding in a computer science class so that I can enhance my skills of making visual learning tools. Is there anyone else who has trouble with history? Any advice? Also, I am in my 20s and I am not having trouble with my other classes. I am doing good in my English classes and other classes. It's just the history classes that I am having trouble in. Does that mean that I am stupid? I have talked with my professor about it. I have asked about getting extra help and/or tutoring. I just go to sit down with your tutor and do my homework. I'm not really on the level of my classmates, but I am at the level of my friends. I haven't really asked any questions. I just go to sit down with your tutor and do my homework.
