Do people know that the faces people make in their profile pictures are NOT REAL? Or are most people like me, oblivious?

The reason I ask is that I once asked a guy a question about his profile picture. He couldn't believe I was serious. He told me that whenever I am scrolling through profiles, and I see a picture of a face, I assume that it is a person in the picture. He then asked how I know for sure its a real person, and then he also asked me if I thought there were real models for barbie dolls, and other toy dolls such as Bratz dolls. As I reflected on my life, I've come to a conclusion that MOST of my life, I have been in a DAZE, just going through the motions. This is just the latest example of something super obvious, that has escaped my attention for my entire life. I can look back at my entire life and see a pattern where time and time again, I am oblivious to things that are super obvious. When he asked me if I assumed that Bratz dolls were modeled after a real person, I had to admit that I had assumed that. I asked him, "are you telling me that the faces of Bratz dolls are generated by AI?" He told me yes. I was amazed that I didn't know this. So I went to Google and sure enough, it was true. I'm glad I asked him that question, because now I know. But it also is sad to me because it's just another example of something that most people already know, but I didn't. It seems like my whole life, I learn things super late, that most people already know.
