Sometimes I get anxious about everything in my life and put it all in a spreadsheet.

So my buddy who lives in another country wanted to get a bunch of $8-10 delivery pizza on New Years Eve. We both have our own from-scratch New Years Eve dinner going on, with him battling a bunch of pizzas and my wife and I having a five course meal, which will be at least 3 hours of prep work. So he wanted a bunch of these pizzas because he wants to eat them on New Years Day and to reheat them on New Years Eve for folks to snack on at the party.

The problem is, he doesn't live in the country where the pizza is, he lives in the country where the party is. So he needs to order the pizzas, then get one of his staff to go pick them up. Then, go open a box and put a resealable sticker on it and write down what it is and close the box. Then get up really early and put them all in the car and drive them across the border to the neighboring country to reheat them at a persons house and eat them that night. That sounds like a pain in the ass, so I made him a spreadsheet.

The first part of the spreadsheet shows what all the different kinds of pizzas are, then the top line shows the different configurations we might want to order. Then, it shows a grid of what pizza configuration to order beneath it. Then, it will tell you what the total amount is and how many pizzas that is, then how many boxes you will need to buy. Next, it tells you
how much they will cost in total and how much in gas you will use driving across the border. So that is the first sheet.

The second sheet is the same idea, except it has all the different sides you might want to order, and instead of telling you how many boxes you need to buy, it tells you how big of a freezer you need to rent to take across the border with you. It also tells you how much gas you will use for the car and the U-Haul or something that you will need to rent if you do not have access to a vehicle large enough to carry all of the food.

The third sheet is the same idea except it is for all the different drinks from the restaurant you might want to order. It also does the vehicle rental if you need one. The pivot table at the top of this is the packet of stuff that you need to send to the guy who will go pick up the pizzas that you have ordered, so that he doesn't have to do as much digging.

The second to last sheet is a running list of all the pizzas that have been ordered, if you put 'x' in that column, it will be added to the running total on the top sheet. There is an autocomplete for the pizzas so that you do not have to type it out every time. The final sheet has all the sides and drinks ordered in the same format so that you can track those as well. I also made him an instruction sheet with arrows telling him all the things he needs to change to make sure the spreadsheet works properly.

I'm not sure why he needs all these pizzas.
