I want to leave this sub. I want to leave the anti-feminist division it creates. I want to leave feminism behind.

I don't feel like I can stop being a feminist any less than I can stop being a woman. I'm going to continue to promote equality. And to continue to discuss feminist issues. I just don't want to organize the discussion of what is primarily women's issues into a space where it further alienates those who don't identify as feminist.

I don't want to have a space where women can discuss women's rights without men, because if men are going to choose to participate in an effort to promote women's rights, I don't want to shun them or alienate them. I want their participation. I want to work together to promote equality. I want to promote women's rights and I want to be able to welcome men into the discussion. I don't want to discuss women's issues in a vacuum devoid of men.

In order to achieve equality, everyone needs to be at the table. I would be glad to discuss women's issues in a thread on a general discussion sub, but I don't want to have a sub like /c/feminism that is exclusive to women. I want a sub that is open to everyone. I want discussion of women's issues to be open to both men and women.

I don't want to have a space where only women can discuss women's issues. I don't want to exclude men from the discussion of women's issues. I want to include men. I want men to be able to participate in the discussion, since they are part of the genders that have to live in the same society. I want to have a discussion, not a filter bubble or echo chamber.
