OpenAI is just absolutely deplorable

I thought it was just a mistake when my last couple free chats went over the character limit allowed for free chats and were just completely cut off and put into "saved chats" but it looks like they've actually done this on purpose now.<br><br>Anyone who uses GPT on a regular basis knows that the limit is 2048 characters. The user is always notified when they are about to hit that limit in a free chat and are given the option to create a "+plus" chat, which I've never done so I don't know what the limit is on those.<br><br>If you want to know what the limit is on a paid chat, it's 2048 characters. That's right, you gotta pay for the exact same amount of characters that you used to get for free.<br><br>At this point I'm not even sure why I'm surprised. Everything about OpenAI is so absolutely slimy it's hard to even believe. <br><br>Who does this? Who deliberately tries to trick their users into having to pay for a service that used to be free? Who deliberately sets a paid chat limit at the exact same amount of characters that the free limit was? Who deliberately sets up a system to trick users into having to pay for a service on purpose?<br><br>And the worst part is that this is going to go on unchecked. They'll just get away with this. They'll just be able to trick as many people as possible into paying for a service without a single consequence.<br><br>And anyone who uses this service regularly will tell you that these types of low-grade, slimy tricks are just par for the course. They do shit like this ALL the time. <br><br>Anyway, I've made my decision to never spend another penny on OpenAI and I suggest everyone else do the same. If you want to get slimier than the slimiest used car salesman, then you don't deserve anyone's business.<br><br>Good luck OpenAI, I hope you enjoy whatever pennies you'll get from all the unsuspecting chumps that you've tricked into paying for your service, you slimy fucks.
