Services are free and available in multiple languages.<br><br>There are several reasons why men may be disproportionately affected by suicide, including:<br><br>Societal expectations and gender roles: Traditional masculinity norms can discourage men from expressing emotions or seeking help, leading to feelings of isolation and loneliness.<br><br>Lower rates of mental health support: Men are generally less likely to seek mental health services or talk openly about their struggles, which can limit their access to resources and support.<br><br>Higher rates of substance abuse: Men are more likely to engage in substance abuse, which can contribute to the development of mental health issues and increase the risk of suicide.<br><br>Access to lethal means: Men are more likely to have access to firearms and other lethal means, which can increase the risk of suicide.<br><br>Trauma and PTSD: Men are more likely to experience traumatic events, such as combat or violence, which can contribute to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health issues.<br><br>I'm not a mental health professional, I just want to spread the word.
