What do you do with leftovers when your meal prep is done?

I know it sounds like a dumb question but hear me out. I recently finished a meal prep and have about 4 servings leftover.

It may be a tautology but it really isn't meal prep when I'm cooking 4 more servings than I intend on using before going grocery shopping the next week. This has been on my mind a lot and so I thought I'd come up with a strategy.

I thought about freezing them but find that the quality turns out significantly lower in the long run. I also thought about giving them away but that doesn't help me for every time this happens in the future.

So I thought, "use a bit less next time!" But then that still doesn't help with the leftovers. Which brings me to the best solution I could think of:

Next time you cook, throw that leftover in the fridge or the freezer that day and use it for lunch the next week.

So it's going to be a Friday or Saturday when you cook, so the next week, on Monday just grab that leftovers and bring it for lunch. If you're worried about quality, it's a week later, make sure you use whatever you're currently making to cover up the quality loss from freezing.
