So what up with American food?

I'm American just so you know.

So I was talking to a friend who's from Africa. I mentioned how it was weird that I can't buy a chicken whole (with organs and bones and feathers and blood and guts and all) at Walmart. So he says yeah back in Africa that's how you get chicken. He said he misses it. So I say why. He says because all the bones you can't eat you can make chicken stock. All the organs and blood you can make soup. He says he misses that. And I can't blame him.

It makes me sad because a lot of immigrants like that have to start eating processed foods because it's cheap here. But they used to have rich meals all the time where they could make a soup and a broth and eat the meat and store the bones for later and make bone broth and eat that.

I just think it's so ironic. We have money but we can't eat real food. They don't have money but they can eat whatever they want straight from the farm.
