I've been a member here for a few years and I've never noticed how bad this was until the past 6 months. Somebody will post a fairly complicated question, then I'll notice some random person will comment with an absolute travesty of a solution and say something like, "I don't know how it works, but I don't care, just give me easy rep." I'll try to post the correct solution with the proper explanation of how it works, and then the OP will give the other person the top answer and mark it as the correct answer.<br><br>If I'm five years old and I don't care about learning, you could explain to me how an internal combustion engine works in excruciating detail and I still wouldn't understand, because I don't want to. But an engine is quite a simple thing.<br> <br>If you're going to ask a question on a topic that's complicated, don't pretend you're trying to learn how to code when the solution you chose is 500 lines of code that you can't even explain, or that you don't even care to learn how it works. Just be honest and say, "I don't care about learning how to code, I just want easy rep, so I'm going to use this solution without knowing how it works, because I'm lazy."
