Roommate is literally eating my food

This is my last resort. I’ve tried talking to him and writing him a note but that literally didn’t work. I literally had to contact my landlord and fill out a tenant information sheet. But I don’t know how to confront him.

I have tried to leave passive aggressive notes. I had literally left a note on the fridge that said “if you touch anything that’s not yours I’m going to call the cops and sue you” and he still ate something that was MINE. He literally left two slices of pizza, a thing of maple syrup and a cheese-wiz. The pizza was expired and I didn’t like the cheese-wiz after I tried it because it did not taste like cheese.

He refused to do chores and buy any groceries. He also took my butter and trash bags. I didn’t want to do anything in the end when I was done and I just let it go. I was so angry and I was literally on the verge of a panic attack whenever I thought about it. I didn’t want to have to deal with him.

He’s low income and buys it with stamps and steals from the dollar store. I make 30,000 a year and I save what I can. I’m just a broke college student and he knows that. I spend money on what I need and I don’t really have anything. We never go out and I don’t have anything nice so I don’t see why he would think that. We’re the same kind of people just that I have a job and he doesn’t.

I don’t want to be petty but I’m going to send him a bill on all of the food he ate. He’s literally a foodie and sends pictures of what he eats to his cooking group chat that I’m in. It’s so dumb and pathetic he even does this. I’m also going to let my land lord deal with this first.

I was just wondering what else I could do. He’s been taking my food but also other people’s food.
