I have been on welfare for two years while I’m in school, and it feels like a full time job to make ends meet.

I’m so grateful for the help. I’m not sure I’d be able to afford school without it.

Even with help, it feels like I get a welfare check, write 15 checks, and then am like “oh, here’s a few bucks you can spend on food!” ? I work part-time too, but the majority of the bills I pay are covered by welfare. ? It makes no sense.

I’m broke, stressed out, desperate to graduate so I can get a better job.

I don’t know how single moms on welfare are able to afford anything. I am literally living paycheck to paycheck and barely scraping by and I am honestly so confused how any single parent can live like this.
