An app that lets you create an avatar for yourself and can be used to explore virtual reality

This is an idea I’ve had for a while. The idea being that you can create an avatar for yourself and use it to navigate your surroundings virtually. There could be a map view where you can see real places nearby and go inside the places that have been explored. You can interact with other avatars in the app and see what they’re doing. There could be experiences like virtual concerts, movies, festicals, and other events with live avatars. You could also be able to invite friends to your location without having to tell them your exact address.<br> <br>Example: you’re meeting friends at a restaurant. You put in their name and they get an invitation to your location, and can find you (not your exact address). Apple Maps does something like this already in the share my location feature, but this would allow you to be live and show your avatar walking to where you want to meet.<br> <br>The app could be called Virtually. I think this is stuff that could be done in the near future if we have a smart phone that is capable of accurate augmented reality. I saw an idea of an app similar to this except it was for navigating airports. I think the experiences could span much farther than that. It would be a fun experience and it could save you time in the long run.<br> <br>The app would also have a social media feature where you could post what you’re doing and see what your friends are doing. You could also use real-time chat with friends and families, a little different than a typical text message. I don’t know what kind of tech you would need for this to work, but I could imagine that if this app did get created, it would be fun to use.
