Found out that my boyfriend hasn’t been showering while I’m at work

I’ve(19f) been living with my boyfriend (20m) for a few months and I’ve kind of started noticing he doesn’t shower in the morning before work anymore. We’re both morning people, so we wake up pretty early to brush our teeth, wash our face, shower, eat breakfast, and leave for work/school. I’m a college student with classes in the morning and he works in construction, so we both have to look presentable for work. Recently, I’ve noticed he’s only been brushing his teeth and washing his face in the morning and not showering. I started to notice this because he’ll still leave his coffee mug and toothbrush in the bathroom, but won’t have used his shower caddy. So this raises the question, when does he shower? I work from 10-6 on a Tuesday-Thursday and Fridays from 12-7, so I’m never home when he’s home. I’ve asked him directly multiple times and he’s said that he showers in the morning, but he’s not. He will admit that he’s very lazy. I even tested the shower, and the water was cold, so he definitely didn’t use it. <br><br>I hear him get ready in the morning, but I don’t hear the water run. I hear the sink turn on, and the blow dryer, but he doesn’t shower. I started to notice he’ll shower as soon as I get home from work, and the water is hot, so he’ll only use the bathroom after he showers. I found it very strange and asked him about it again and he denied it again. I started to get annoyed and said that, it was kind of gross he didn’t shower for work, and he said that he only needs to shower once a day because he’s at home in the morning. I told him that it’s unreasonable he doesn’t shower until 6pm and that’s not showering once a day. So I started to test him, and change the shower caddy and towels, so I can see if he’s showering. I’ve noticed he’ll wait to shower until 6pm or 8pm, which is weird. <br><br>So I decided to come home early from work and see what he’s doing. So he’s not showering. I was surprised. I came home early to see him playing video games naked and stinking up the house. I’m not even joking, the whole house reeked. It smelled like a dead animal died in there. I had to hold my nose. I was horrified. I couldn’t believe he had the audacity to tell me that he showers when really he doesn’t. He’s 20 years old and can’t even take care of himself. It’s even worse when he gets food on his hands and doesn’t wash it off. He’ll also open all the cabinets and drawers and leave all the trash out and dirty dishes for me to do. The smell was so bad I had to open all the windows. <br><br>Playing video games naked and stinking up my house, to think that I wanted to marry him. He doesn’t even have the respect to maintain proper hygiene. I’m literally the one who does everything for him and in return he gives nothing in return. I will probably end it with him tomorrow. I’ve been tolerating his bad habits for too long.
