My husband is the moderator for a few different chambers, and he genuinely thinks it’s a job

No, he doesn’t get paid, but he is so serious about it. He spends all day on the computer, and I’ve genuinely asked him “why don’t you get a real job, even if it’s working at McDonald’s bussing tables?” Because it would be a lot less humiliating to tell people that your job is bussing fast food tables than being like “oh, I moderate online post for free and don’t get paid, just for the joy of it.” But he says no because he wants time off during the day to take care of things he needs to take care of for himself. But then he goes on the computer at 6am every day and doesn’t get off until 1 or 2 in the morning, and it’s. Just. So. Embarrassing. <br><br>But no, he doesn’t count that as an 18 hour work day, because he takes an hour here and an hour there throughout the day, but he’s still sitting at his desk, looking at his screen the entire time. <br><br>I am so embarrassed of this. It’s just so embarrassing when people ask him what he does for work and he’s like “oh I’m a moderator for chambers, I moderate 10 different chambers so it keeps me pretty busy.” He’s seriously so pompous about the whole thing, it’s so embarrassing.
