Experienced the first real sign of 'female privilege' when I was 16

At 16, I was rushed to the hospital due to an appendicitis. After I got the appendectomy, I was in a lot of pain and I couldn't hold in a shit. I literally squeezed out a shit all over myself while on the bed in the hospital.

A female nurse, 'roasted' me (jokingly). She made a joke about 'shit happens', and then later said that I 'shit myself' ? I laughed and said 'yeah, no kidding'. She told me to be quiet because 'I am a lady.' She was 55-ish. Still in great shape for her age... but a 'lady' who was 'rightfully' disrespecting a teenager ? I didn't realize at the time that this was a form of 'female privilege' that I was witnessing. Seeing the dynamic between men and women, and how women can easily talk down to men, but men are not to talk down to women, unless they want to be seen as monsters.

Later on, when I was 20-ish, I was helping my mom with a yard sale. An older lady came up to me and told me that I 'looked sloppy'. I said 'excuse me'. She repeated herself and told me I looked sloppy. I was like 'what?'. She said that I 'looked sloppy' in my outfit... I was literally wearing a decent white shirt and some jeans. I was like 'what lady, are you entitled to disrespect me?'. She tried to say it again and my mom basically told her to 'fuck off'. It was sweet, because my mom basically defended me against that bitch.

A lot of women feel entitled to disrespect men, and men are just expected to take it and not say anything back. The dynamic is fucked.
