Lower your expectations

The reason everyone is so disappointed when GPT 4.0 drops is because the information they use to judge it has been poisoned with the ridiculous claims OpenAI makes. <br><br><br>When they claim that GPT 5.0 will be a revolution and humanity changing super AI, it comes with a set of expectations. <br><br><br>In the past when making predictions about new tech, like the internet, people where very cautious and skeptical about the claims. It's always "this is the future, but not for decades". Professors and experts always talked about new tech like they were talking about something from a science fiction movie. <br><br><br>Now in the era of the ChatGPT explosion, everyone is making claims about the future. They are acting like a salesman and not like a scientists. <br><br><br>Don't be like OpenAI. Be like real scientists. What GPT can be in 10-20 years is an unnoticeable detail comparing to what we currently have. For now, the current version, is a very good tool. I enjoy my conversations with it. <br><br><br>It's like the new iPhone. It's almost the same as the previous one, but you enjoy it more because it's not last years phone, it's new. It's the best phone they have made so far. <br><br><br>Lower your expectations for GPT 5.0 or GPT 6.0 or GPT 7.0. The best GPT is the one we have right now.
