Feeling Uncomfortable About AI

I'm not sure how you're all feeling about this but the latest "make anything" prompt has given me the creeps. I've seen some videos of people creating children and family videos with a white boy and a black girl that sends off some weird vibes. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just being dramatic but I feel like we've crossed a line.

If AI can do so many things that the average human can't or doesn't have the time for (e.g. making furniture or creating a full video in 5 minutes), how is someone like me supposed to compete with that. I want to be able to protect myself financially. As someone who has used AI for streamers, content creation, and other hobbies and work, I feel like I've been lied to and we're being treated as guinea pigs.

I hope I'm just being paranoid and we're not on the verge of societal collapse with the increasing usage of AI and automation. I'm not saying it will happen but I'm feeling a bit uneasy.

Edit: some of you are so toxic it's scary. I'm going to take a break from this sub now. I was just trying to have a conversation. You can keep your downvotes.
